BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Zahid Farooq, is Assistant Professor (BPS) in the Department of Zoology, Faculty of Bio-Sciences, Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bahawalpur–Pakistan. He has completed his B.Sc. (Zoology, Botany and Geography) in 1994 from the Islamia University Bahawalpur and M.Sc. (Zoology) 1997 from University of Agriculture Faisalabad–Pakistan. He did MPhil (Zoology) from University of Agriculture Faisalabad.  Dr. Zahid Farooq has earned PhD (Zoology) in 2011 from University of Agriculture Faisalabad. In his Doctorate studies, he has worked on parasitic helminths of domesticated and wild ruminants and documentation of ethnoveterinary practices in Cholistan Desert of Pakistan. He has written twelve peer reviewed research papers and published in national and international well-known scientific journals with good impact factor. His research interest areas are Wildlife, Ecology, Herpetology, Ornithology, Mammalogy and Parasitology.
