BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Santosh Kumar earned his Ph.D in 2017 from University of Sindh, Jamshoro on title “Analysis of the pathogenic applications of Aspergillus species against Acridid grasshoppers of agricultural importance in Sindh” under the Supervision of Dr. Riffat Sultana. He has joined Department of Zoology, Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bahawalpur as Assistant Professor on 19th November, 2018. On his credit there are 26 Research Papers Published in National and International Journals of repute having 33.267 impact factor (Google Scholar Citation: 55, h-index: 04, i10-index: 01) while in Research Gate Citation: 47, Reads: 4541). His expertise’s are in field of entomology particular in Biodiversity, species conservation, Systematic, Biology, Ecology, Chemical & Biological Control and Food preference of Orthoptera including other orders of insects. He is member of many professional bodies. So far as the research guidance and supervision is concerned many students of other university are enrolled for Ph.D and M.Phil studies under his supervision. In addition to these all accomplishments he is member of advisory commit in many journals. He has also attended the “Sixth international Entomopathogens and Microbial Control Congress” in Tokat, Turkey which was held between September 14-16, 2017. He has attended several National and International scientific conferences, seminars and workshops and presented 22 Research Papers on different aspects of insect’s fauna and other burning issues. He has found opportunity to review many papers of the international impact factor research journal currently; he is working with Dr. Riffat Sultana for entry of grasshoppers’ pest species of Pakistan for the Encyclopedia of Plant Pests for world. He has developed International Collaboration with institutions viz: Department Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, Gaziosmanpasa University Tokat, Turkey and Center for National History, University of Humburg, Germany. Recently, he has nominated as member of Pak BOL by IBOL (International Barcode of Life) University of Guelph, Guelph, Ontario, Canada.
