Mr. Muhammad Saad M. Phil (UVAS)
BiographyMr. Muhammad Saad is a young lecturer in the Department of Theriogenology since 2018. He secured DVM in 2016 and MPhil (Theriogenology) with distinction in 2018 from University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore. He worked during M. Phil, on the novel technique in advanced reproductive technology IVF in our local breed. The title of his thesis was “Effect of Corpus Luteum (CL) on recovery, quality and in-vitro developmental capacity of oocytes in Bos indicus cows. “He has the specialties in reproductive ultrasonography, hormones assays (ELISA & RIA), cryopreservation of semen and advance breeding programs in domestic animals. He also has work experience of Research Associate almost 2 year under the kind supervision of well-known scientist “Prof. Dr. Nasim Ahmad” in HEC-NRPU funded project on “Development of suitable protocol for ultrasound guided oocyte aspiration (ovum pickup-OPU), in vitro embryo production (IVEP) and transfer (ET) in buffalo and Sahiwal cattle for exploiting the genetic potential”. Where he got the unique experience to write and run research grants on national and international level. He has also got unique experience of standardizing the technique of Ovum Pick Up (OPU) in local animals for first time in Pakistan. He is member of Society for Animal Reproduction of Pakistan (SARP), Nutritionist Association of Pakistan (NAP) and Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council (PVMC). His main responsibilities are teaching of Theriogenology courses, clinical case handling, research and farm extension services. He has the vision for the Theriogenology Department to develop a state-of-the-art endocrinology and bovine embryology labs and on country level to launch Progeny Testing Program (PTP) in bovine on community cooperative model. He has a unique experience in organizing the international level workshop on Bovine Embryology. Area of Interest
