Biography

Dr. Fazal Wadoodis currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Theriogenology, CholistanUniversity of Veterinary and animal sciences (CUVAS), Bahawalpur, Pakistan. He earned his DVM and MSc Hons. (Theriogenology) from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF), PhD in Theriogenology from University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore. He served as Veterinary Officer, Deputy District Officer Livestock (Breed Improvement), Farm Superintendent almost for ten years in Livestock and Dairy Development Department, Punjab, Pakistan. During his Ph.D. in UVAS he also served as Research Associate in HEC funded project entitled “Cryopreservation of Buffalo (Bubalusbubalis) Bull Semen”. He worked during masters on “Seroprevalence of Brucellosis in Equidae Family in and around Faisalabad”. During his PhD studies he worked on buffalo semen under title “Development of a Suitable Semen Extender for Cryopreservation of Buffalo (Bubalusbubalis) Bull Semen”. His research is published in well reputed impact factor and HEC recognized journals. He has the specialties in cryopreservation of semen (Lipid peroxidation, DNA integrity, Acrosomal Integrity, HOST, Morphology, CASA), genital diseases (RBPT, SAT,ELISA) and advance breeding programs in domestic animals. He is member of Society for Animal Reproduction of Pakistan (SARP),and Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council (PVMC). His main responsibilities are teaching of Theriogenology courses, clinical case handling, research and farm extension services. He has the vision for the Theriogenology Department to develop a state-of-the-art endocrinology and Andrology labs and on country level to launch Progeny Testing Program (PTP) in bovine on community cooperative model.
