Biography

Dr. Abdullah Saghir Ahmad is currently working as Assistant Professor in the department of parasitology, Cholistan University of Veterinary and animal sciences (CUVAS), Bahawalpur, Pakistan. He did DVM in 2012 and M.Phil. Parasitology in 2014 from University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan. He did PhD Parasitology from UVAS and won the scholarship from Higher Education Commission of Pakistan for Melbourne University Australia where he worked with world renowned Parasitologist. He has worked on the Development and Evaluation of DNA and vector borne diseases of veterinary importance. He has learnt latest immunological, cloning and molecular biological techniques and implementation of various bioinformatics tools during his scientific work in Melbourne University.He has written four research papers in well-known scientific journals with good impact factor from his PhD thesis.He also received “Appreciation certificate” from Chief Minister of Punjab on his dedicated services in relief operation during flood 2010.He is now actively involved in developing research activities to diagnose and control parasitic diseases in addition to academic activities.
