Biography
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khalid Mansoor, is a Dean, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (CUVAS), Bahawalpur, Pakistan. He has a DVM background. In 2001, He joined University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF) as a Lecturer. While at UAF, Dr. Mansoor completed his Master’s degree and PhD from Institute of Microbiology. In 2013, he got promoted as Assistant Professor.He joined Animal Health Research Center (AHRC), Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Sultanate of Oman as an Expert for the development of Quality control Unit for evaluation of veterinary vaccines in 2014.Prior to working at CUVAS, Dr. Mansoor was working as an Associate Professor, Department of Veterinary Microbiology, University College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Punjab, Pakistan.Prof. Mansoor has been a lead investigator and coordinator of several research projects funded by national and international funding agencies.Prof. Mansoor was member of organizing committee and resource person for around 30 national and internal conferences and workshops. He is also member of the Selection Board of different Universities and Institutes. He has published more than forty research articles in well reputed national and international peer reviewed journals and reviewer of different peer reviewed journals. Prof. Mansoor worked as convener, Board of Studies, Department of Microbiology, CUVAS, Bahawalpur. He is the pioneer for initiation of four years degree program B.S. (Hons.) Applied Microbiology started in 2019 at CUVAS. So far, he has produced around 10 postgraduate students under his supervision and around 15 as member of the supervisory committee. His research activities focus on molecular biology, virology, microbiology, cell culture, vaccinology and biotechnology and host virus interaction.
