Biography:

Dr. Kashif Rahim Bangash is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bahawalpur (CUVAS). He has completed his B.Sc (Hons) major subject as Microbiology in 2012  and M.Phil (Microbiology) from the Kohat University of Science and Technology Kohat (KUST) in 2015. Dr. Bangash earned his Ph.D in Molecular Biology Lab from Beijing Normal University, China in 2018. He worked on serological and molecular diagnosis of bovine brucellosis in district Peshawar in (B.Sc (Hons)), Antibiotic resistant profile of biofilm producing bacteria isolated from chronic wounds at teaching hospitals of Peshawar in (M.Phil), and studied Cryptococcus neoformans (Human Pathogenic yeast) pathogenicity by knocking out its important genes, responsible for pathogenic factors production using CRISPR Cas9 tool. (Ph.D). He has written 27 peer reviewed research papers in well-known scientific journals with good impact factor. His research interest is in the field of medical molecular mycology, infectious zoonotic diseases, chronic wound infections and drug resistant microbial flora.

  • Won 3 years  Chinese Government Scholarship for Ph.D Studies.
  •  Got 1st prize award as a “Excellent foreign Student” in 2015-18 session from Chinese Government Scholarship Council.
  • Got 2nd prize award as a “Excellent foreign Student” 2016-17 from Beijing Normal University, Beijing China.
  • Selected as a “Excellent foreign Graduate” 2015-18 from Beijing Normal University, Beijing China.
  • Got 3rd prize award in presentation competition in college of life sciences, Beijing Normal University, Beijing China.
