Biography:

Dr. Jawaria Aslam has been serving as an Assistant Professor (BPS-19) in the Department of Physiology and Biochemistry, Faculty of Bio-Sciences, Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (CUVAS), Bahawalpur, Pakistan, since March 11, 2024. She earned her BS (Hons) degree from The Islamia University of Bahawalpur in July 2013, followed by an M.Phil in Biochemistry from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, where she was awarded a Silver Medal in December 2015 in recognition of her academic excellence. Dr. Jawaria Aslam completed her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from The Islamia University of Bahawalpur in January 2022.
Dr. Jawaria Aslam’s research integrates experimental biochemistry with advanced computational and nanotechnological approaches. Her core research interests include medicinal plants, microbial biofilm development and control, and the biosynthesis, physicochemical characterization, and biomedical applications of green-synthesized nanoparticles. She has strong expertise in Computer-Aided Drug Designing (CADD), including Density Functional Theory (DFT) studies, molecular docking, and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations to explore biomolecular interactions, stability, and mechanistic insights at the atomic level.
Her interdisciplinary work further extends to nanoinformatics, in-silico vaccine design, and the application of machine learning approaches in biological systems for predictive modeling and data-driven discovery. Dr. Aslam is proficient in utilizing Python and R programming for biological data analysis, cheminformatics, bioinformatics, and systems biology applications.
