Biography

Dr. Hamid Majeed is working as Assistant Professor Food Sciences, Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bahawalpur. He had completed his PhD degree in Food Science &Technology (Food Nanotechnology) and post-doctorate from Jiangnan and Jiaotong University, China. He had published more than 70 SCI articles in top-ranked international peer-reviewed journals with a total impact factor 300+. He has awarded a research Project of Rs. 5.00 Million funded by Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF). His research interests are encapsulation of plant bioactive, therapeutic proteins to achieve sustained release and enhanced bioavailability as well as development of Functional Food Products.

  • 2010 April -November: Worked as Research Associate, in Molecular Diagnostics and Research Lab (NORI) Islamabad.
  • 2015 July – 31st Dec 2015. Worked as Research Associate in a Research of Agricultural Division National Institute of Bioremediation, PARC Islamabad.
  • January 2016 – June 2017. Worked as Post-doctoral fellow at Jiaotong University China.
  • 2017 August – 30th March 2018. Worked as Research Associate at Food Science Research Institute, National Agriculture Research Centre Islamabad.
  • 2018 April – 2nd April 2019: Working as Assistant Professor (IPFP) Department of Botany, GC University Lahore.

  • Paper presented entitled “Bactericidal mechanism of negatively charged clove oil nanoemulsions” in International conference of Plant sciences held at Department of Botany GC University Lahore 5th to 7th December 2018.
  • Participated as Lead lecture in Provincial Coordination meeting on inventory of initial and new persistent organic pollutants (POPS) in Pakistan held on 11th December 2018 at Hospitality Inn, Lahore.
