Biography
Dr. Muhammad Tahir Khan is a Lecturer in the Department of Poultry Science, Faculty of Animal Production and Technology, Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (CUVAS), Bahawalpur-Pakistan. He joined CUVAS in 2018. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 2013, MPhil Poultry Production in 2015, and PhD Poultry Production in 2019 at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore-Pakistan. In his doctorate studies, he worked on “Preparation and nutritional evaluation of poultry farm litter and dead birds compost for use in poultry feed”. Before joining the CUVAS, Dr. Khan worked as Research Associate for three years (23-11-2015 to 27-11-2018) in a PARB funded research project “Utilization of poultry farm litter and dead birds compost as livestock feed ingredient and agriculture fertilizer”. In addition to that, from 2016 to date, he has published 15 research articles, 8 in international journals and 7 in national journals. Moreover, he is also a reviewer of some important international journals including “Poultry Science”, “Journal of Applied Animal Research” and “Archives Animal Breeding”. His research interests include poultry waste management and nutritional manipulation of indigenous poultry.
