Biography
Dr. Imtiaz Hussain Raja attended Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) Tandojam, to obtain a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine [DVM, Degree (05 Years Program)]. After that, he pursues M.Phil. in Animal Nutrition. Thesis entitled “Study on the impact of various levels of crude protein on the growth of lambs.” After awarding of M.Phil. degree; was selected Doctorate fellowship by China Scholarship Council (Beijing-PR China) to pursue a Doctorate study in Animal Nutrition at the Northwest A&F University (NWAFU), PR, China. In June 2018 he was awarded a Ph.D. Degree in the Animal Nutrition, with 1st Prize and nominated as an Outstanding International Scholar by the NWAFU. The Doctorated research entitled “Effects of low protein diet supplemented with rumen-protected methionine on nutrients metabolism at rumen and post-rumen using in vitro techniques” under the supervision of Professor Yao Junhu (姚军虎教授), at the Northwest A&F University PR, China.
His service started as Animal Nutritionist and Dairy Expert at Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) for dairy development program. After Ph.D. he joined the Department of Animal Nutrition, as Assistant Professor on IPFP-HEC in the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Sakrand (SBBUVAS). Furthermore, in 2018 Dr. Abbasi was appointed as Assistant Professor through a competitive process on (BPS:19) in the Department of Animal Nutrition, by the Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bahawalpur, Punjab, Pakistan (CUVAS.edu.pk). Dr. Abbasi is an Author & Co-author of more than 35 international and national peer-reviewed research articles, which are published in SCI, JCR, and well-reputed journals. Currently, he is supervising more than 12 postgraduates [M. Phil] students in the Department of Animal Nutrition, CUVAS, Bahawalpur.
