Biography
Dr. Akash Jamil received his BSc. (Hons) in forestry and Rangeland sciences in 2016 from Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan. He secured his MSc (hons) forestry and Rangeland management in 2018 with distinction (Gold Medal) from the same university. He obtained his Ph.D. Degree in 2024 in the field of Rangeland Management from B.Z.U. Meanwhile he joined Paksitan Agriculture Council as a Scientific Officer in 2022. Dr Jamil recently (March 2024) joined as a lecturer in the department of Rangeland, Forestry and Wildlife, Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animals Sciences, Bahawalpur. He has published about 14 peer-reviewed articles in well-known SCI international journals. Dr Jamil has performed excellent research work on Rangeland biodiversity, Traditional ecological knowledge, Medicinal plant biodiversity/ecology, and carbon sequestration and climate change related studies. Dr jamil was keenly involved in two major research projects funded by Agriculture linkages program and HEC NRPU related to Rangelands and medicinal plant ecology/diversity respectively.
