Biography:

Muhammad Junaid Nawaz is serving as lecturer in the department of Meat Technology, Faculty of Animal Production and Technology at CUVAS, Bahawalpur since 2018. He completed DVM in 2015 and M.Phil. Meat Science and Technology in 2018 from University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore. In M. Phil his topic of research was “Effects of Storage Time and Vacuum Packaging on Frozen Meat Quality and Muscle Structure of Four Commercial Broiler strains”. He studied One Health approach, Environmental Health, Zoonotic diseases and food Safety at Duke University, North Carolina, USA. He worked as Quality Control Manager for 1 year in Kold Kraft Tongda; a meat processing and export company. He has hands on experience in carcass grading, meat processing, packaging and storage techniques and meat cuts standardization. He has been certified as a mentor for the International Student One Health Alliance (ISOHA) Mentorship Program to inspire the next generation of One Health leaders.

  • He was awarded with “Gold Medal” in Gross Anatomy and Histology, during DVM.
