Achievements & Performance

This year proved to be the excellent year for UVAS Sports. UVAS made maximum participation in different Championships at different levels and showed marvellous performance overall, with 17 Gold Medals, 7 Silver Medals and 40 Bronze Medals thus, total of 64 Medals this year in the following Championships:

HEC Intervarsity Championships 2015-16   

Chess Female Championship 2015-16

UVAS participated in Intervarsity Chess Female Championship 2015-16 organised by University of Gujarat. Our University Chess team players won first Position with 05 Gold Medals in this Championship. The winning medal player names are as under:

2. Iqra Nazir                                 2nd with 5.5/6 points
3. Mushal Fatime                          3rd with 4/6 points

Intervarsity Women Karate Championship 2015-16        

Our University organized Intervarsity Women Karate Championship 2015-16. 20 Universities participated in this championship and UVAS got 2nd Position in this championship.

5.1.3 Intervarsity Kabaddi Championship 2015-16

Our University organized Intervarsity Kabaddi Championship 2015-16. Twwenty Universities participated in this championship and UVAS got 3rd Position in this championship.

Intervarsity Tug of War Championship 2015-16                                       

Our University organized Intervarsity Tug of War Championship 2015-16. Fifteen Universities participated in this championship and UVAS got 3rd Position.

Intervarsity Taekwondo Male Championship 2015-16    

Our University participated in Intervarsity Taekwondo Championship 2016 organised by Hazara University Mansehra. Our University Taekwondo team players won 05 Medals in this Championship. The winning medal player names are as under:

Intervarsity Bodybuilding Championship 2015-16           

UVAS participated in All Pakistan Intervarsity Bodybuilding Championship organized by University of Central Punjab Lahore. Our University Bodybuilding team won 04 Medals & got 4th Position with 44 Points in All Pakistan Intervarsity Bodybuilding Championship 2015-16. Medallist Names are as under:

Intervarsity Weightlifting Championship 2015-16                                      

Our University organized Intervarsity Weightlifting Championship 2015-16. Fourteen Universities participated in this championship and UVAS got 01 Gold Medal.

Our University participated in Intervarsity Taekwondo Championship 2016 organised by University of Karachi. Our University Taekwondo Female team players won 02 Medals in this Championship. The winning medal player names are as under:

5.1.9            Intervarsity Rowing Female Championship 2015-16        

Our University participated in Intervarsity Rowing Championship 2016 organised by University of Lahore at Lahore Canal Rowing Club. Our University Water Rowing team first time participated in Intervarsity Rowing Championship & got 03 Bronze Medals and with 100 points got 4th Position in All Pakistan Intervarsity Rowing Championship out of 10 teams.

Intervarsity Rifle Shooting Men & Women Championship 2015-16   

UVAS participated in Intervarsity Rifle Shooting Championship 2016 organised by Imperial University, Lahore. Our University Taekwondo Female team players won 6th Position in this Championship.

Divisional Championships 2015-16

Mr. Jr. Sahiwal District Bodybuilding Championship                               

District Mr.Sahiwal tournament held in Sahiwal, UVAS Bodybuilding team player won the title belt and Gold Medal.

5.3.1            Punjab Level Bodybuilding Championship                                        

UVAS Bodybuilding, team player won the Bronze Medal in Punjab Division Bodybuilding competition held at Punjab Sports Complex Lahore.

All Punjab Chess Female Championship was organised by UVAS with collaboration of Pakistan Chess Federation. UVAS Female chess team players won second position and other were among top ten players.

 64th Junior Mr. Pakistan Bodybuilding Championship 2015

UVAS Bodybuilding team player represented HEC in 64th Junior Mr. Pakistan & National  Bodybuilding Championship and won the Silver Medal.

National Chess Female Championship 2016             

UVAS Chess  Female team players participated in National Chess Championship held at Karachi and won the Silver Medal & also qualified for Olympiads going to held in Baqo Azar Bai Jan.

61st National Men Weightlifting Championship 2016  

Mr. Abdullah Butt gained honour for UVAS by winning Silver Medal in Senior National Men Weightlifting Championship held at Lahore.

International Level Championship 2015-16

International South Asian Bodybuilding Championship 2016   

Mr. Muhammad Zeeshan gained honour for UVAS by winning Gold Medal in International South Asian Bodybuilding Championship 2016 among the participants of various countries Napal, Bhutan, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
