Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat Visits CUVAS, Announces Two Buses for Students

BAHAWALPUR: Provincial Minister for Education Punjab Rana Sikandar Hayat visited the Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (CUVAS), Bahawalpur, at the special invitation of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tariq Javed and Dr. Rana Tariq MPA Bahawalpur ( Member Syndicate and Selection Board of CUVAS) made special effort in arranging this visit to CUVAS. The Minister was accompanied by the Vice Chancellor and Dr. Rana Tariq sb (MPA) during his visit to various parts of the university, where he reviewed academic and administrative matters and interacted with students to hear their concerns.

During his interaction with the students, in the University Auditorium the Minster listened particularly to their concerns regarding university transport and other facilities. Responding to the students’ transportation needs, Rana Sikandar Hayat announced the provision of two buses to CUVAS with immediate effect, saying that the buses would help facilitate students in their daily commuting.

The Minister also announced his support for the provision of air-conditioning facilities in the university auditorium and also Dr. Rana Tariq sb (MPA) to get 10 ACs installed in the month of October and not latter then that and also assured that necessary steps would be taken in this regard. Discussing student welfare and educational support, Rana Sikandar Hayat assured the university community that the laptop scheme would be specially enhanced for CUVAS students. He also expressed his commitment to enhancing scholarship opportunities for CUVAS students so that deserving students could receive greater support for their education. A number of other matters concerning students, academic facilities, transportation and university development were also discussed during the visit. The Minister assured the students and university administration that every possible effort would be made to address their genuine needs and improve facilities at CUVAS. Rana Sikandar Hayat (Education Minister) also asked the vice chancellor to increase the number of RO plants at the campus and also make sure that the students had better practical training in classes. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tariq Javed thanked Provincial Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat for visiting CUVAS, listening to the concerns of students and announcing immediate support for university transport and other facilities. He expressed his appreciation for the Minister’s interest in the development of CUVAS and student welfare. The Minister’s announcements were warmly welcomed by the students, who expressed happiness and appreciated over the proposed provision of buses, enhanced laptop opportunities and increased support for scholarships and other university facilities. The visit reflected a shared focus on improving student facilities, supporting higher education and strengthening the academic environment at CUVAS.
