CIBS
The Cholistan Institute of Biological Sciences (CIBS) is an educational and research institute dedicated to advancing knowledge and understanding in the field of biology. Originally established as the Department of Zoology in 2018, it has been providing quality education and research opportunities in various areas of biological and animal sciences.
Since its establishment, hundreds of students have graduated from the department and are now serving in numerous national and international organizations. Several graduates have also received international scholarships and are pursuing higher education at renowned universities and research institutes worldwide.
In 2025, the Department of Zoology at CUVAS was upgraded to the Cholistan Institute of Biological Sciences (CIBS), reflecting its expanded academic scope, research capabilities and educational offerings. The institute provides a collaborative environment for students, faculty and researchers to explore biological sciences at molecular, cellular and ecological levels.
CIBS offers undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs along with research opportunities in disciplines including Fisheries and Aquaculture, Paleontology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Entomology, Parasitology, Herpetology, Ornithology, Biodiversity, Environmental Biology, Wildlife and Ecology.
