Biography

Veterinary academic, clinician and researcher with a PhD in Clinical Medicine and extensive experience in veterinary education, clinical medicine, avian medicine, veterinary diagnostics, research management and higher education administration. Research experience includes Rotavirus A, infectious diseases, veterinary epidemiology, antimicrobial resistance, aflatoxicosis, animal health, veterinary public health and diagnostic research.

International research exposure includes a six-month research training at the College of Veterinary Population Medicine and Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, University of Minnesota, USA, with research focused on the genotypic and epitope characteristics of Group A porcine rotaviruses.

Author/co-author of 30 research publications, including papers in international peer-reviewed journals, along with books/book chapters and conference proceedings. Experienced in the development and management of competitive research projects funded through HEC Pakistan and other research programmes.
