Biography

Ameer Hamza Rabbani is a veterinary academic, clinician, and researcher specializing in Veterinary Surgery. He holds a DVM and an MPhil in Veterinary Surgery from the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore. His professional experience encompasses veterinary surgical practice, small- and large-animal surgery, anesthesia, analgesia, clinical teaching, and supervision of veterinary students and interns.

His research focuses primarily on veterinary surgery, perioperative anesthesia and analgesia, postoperative pain management, local anesthetic techniques, surgical complications, and evidence-based clinical protocols, particularly in dogs and cats. He has contributed to peer-reviewed research on feline ovariohysterectomy, multimodal analgesia, postoperative pain, anesthetic and analgesic pharmacology, surgical techniques, and a range of veterinary clinical and animal-health topics.

His broader academic interests include clinical veterinary medicine, comparative pharmacology, diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in animal health, veterinary education, and translational research aimed at improving animal welfare and clinical outcomes.
