Objectives

Here are five concise, publication-ready objectives for the Directorate of Animals Teaching and Research Center (DAT&RC; CUVAS):

1. To provide hands-on practical training to undergraduate and postgraduate students in modern livestock management, nutrition, breeding, and sustainable production systems.
2. To conduct applied and problem-oriented research focused on improving productivity, health, and efficiency of indigenous livestock breeds of Southern Punjab, particularly the Cholistan region.
3. To promote smart and sustainable livestock farming practices through precision feeding, improved housing, resource-efficient management, and climate-resilient production strategies.
4. To enhance skills development and capacity building of veterinary graduates, para-veterinary staff, farmers, and youth through structured training and extension programs.
5. To conserve, utilize, and improve indigenous animal genetic resources while supporting innovation and technology-driven solutions for national livestock development.
