Biography

Dr. Hafiz Iftikhar Hussain is Assistant Professor (BPS-19) in the Department of Pathology, Faculty of Veterinary Science, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bahawalpur–Pakistan. He completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) in 2010 and M.Phil Pathology in 2012 from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad–Pakistan. Dr. Hafiz Iftikhar Hussain got scholarshipfor Ph. D. from Chinese Scholarship council (CSC) in 2013 and completed his PhD in the field of Veterinary Pathology in 2017 from Huazhong Agricultural University Wuhan–China. In M. Phil. he worked on clinico-pathological aspects of Newcastle disease in arsenic intoxicated broiler chicks. In his doctorate studies, he explored the functional genomic and transcriptomic profile of pathogenic multidrug resistant and virulent pathogens of poultry. He has published his research in well-known scientific journals with good impact factors. Dr. Hafiz Iftikhar Hussain has also presented his scientific work in two national and three international conferences. His research interest areas are clinico-pathological studies of bacterial and viral diseases in poultry and livestock, toxico-pathology in birds and mammals, antibiotic resistance determination in various pathogenic and virulent bacteria,RNA sequencing, whole genome re-sequencing, and quality & safety risk assessment for livestock and poultry products.
