Biography

Dr. Mujahid Iqbal is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology. He holds a DVM (University of Agriculture, Faisalabad), MPhil (University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore) and a PhD (Huazhong Agricultural University, China). His doctoral research was aimed at exploring the molecular mechanism of tibial dyschondroplasia in poultry. He also checked the therapeutic effects of various phytomedicines against tibial dyschondroplasia. He has 04 months internship experience in Pakistan Dairy Development Company (PDDC) and almost 1.5-year experience as a private veterinary practitioner.
He is author of more than 20 research and review articles published in peer-reviewed journals. Since his induction in the Department of Pathology in November 2018, Dr. Mujahid has been involved in teaching various courses. He has also been given an additional charge of Manager University-Industrial Linkages and Technology Transfer.

Areas of Interest

  • Molecular mechanism of poultry diseases
  • Gene and protein expression
