Biography
Dr. Faisal Siddique, is an Assistant Professor (BPS-19) in the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bahawalpur, Pakistan. Dr. Faisal obtained Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2009, M.Phil. degree in 2011 and Ph.D. degree in 2015 from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan. He got merit scholarship throughout his educational carrier. The title of M.Phil. thesis was “Isolation, Identification and characterization of Alpha amylase producing microorganisms”. The title of Ph.D. thesis was “Preparation and field evaluation of lyophilized cell culture adapted thermostable Newcastle disease I-2 vaccine”. In his Doctorate studies, he prepared and evaluate efficacy of cell culture adapted thermostable Newcastle diseases vaccine against challenge vvNDV infection. He has almost six year professional research experience in different well known national universities. He has published more than twenty research articles in well reputed national and international journals and 30 abstract in national and international conferences. His research activities focus on disease spillover and spread, epidemiologic drivers of zoonotic disease transmission, emerging infectious diseases and host virus interaction.
