Biography

Dr. Muhammad Adeel Hassan is working as Assistant Professor at Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bahawalpur. He completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and M.Phil. (Parasitology) from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad.He worked as PG Student Fellow in a USAID funded research project under title “Arthropod Functional Genomics: Building Community Resources for Animal Health” during his M.Phil. in Department of Parasitology, University of Agriculture Faisalabad.
Dr. Hassan holds his Ph.D. Veterinary Parasitology and Molecular Biology from Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Lanzhou Veterinary Research Institute, China. He contributed to establish and develop advance research laboratory assays for rapid and efficient diagnosis of tick-borne diseases. Also, he explored new methods and knowledge to enrich scientific community with latest information by teachings, trainings, international presentations and publications. In recognition of his excellent performance as a researcher, Dr. Hassan received “Outstanding Student Award-2018” from Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China.
He published many articles in national and international journals like Ticks and Tick-Borne Diseases, Genes, Parasites and Vectors, ActaTropica, Parasitology Research, Poultry Science, Journal of Parasitology etc. He is member of “Pakistan Society of Parasitology”, “The American Society of Parasitologists” and registered with Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council. Dr. Muhammad Adeel Hassan has also been approved as Ph.D. Supervisor by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan."
